Wholesale Pricing Discount (WPD) now supports cart-based volume discounts. This feature allows your customers to apply set volume discounts based on their cart total or quantity.
Important Notes:
(i) Cart-based volume discounts (CBVD) are not available for Manual Orders (Shopify Admin → Orders → Create order) at the moment.
(ii) The Volume discounts settings in the app do not apply to CBVD. Volume discounts settings only apply to product/collection/variant volume discounts.
To set up volume discounts based on cart total or quantity, follow these steps:
1. Open your WSH Wholesale Pricing app.
2. Click on the Volume discounts in the left sidebar menu.
3. Now, click on a Discount group for which you want to set a volume discount based on cart total OR cart quantity. Let us assume now that we will be creating a volume discount based on cart total over the discount group “Wholesale".
4. In the next step, you can see two options in the ‘Applies to’ section - Cart total and Cart quantity, respectively. Cart total applies when you want to give a discount based on cart total and Cart quantity applies when you want to give a discount based on a specific quantity of products in the cart.
5. For example, if you want to give a 10% discount on a cart value that ranges from $1000 to $2000, you can enter $1000 in the Min cart total section, $2000 in the Max cart total section, and 10 in the Percentage section. Take reference from the screenshot below.
6. Similarly, if you want to give a 15% discount on cart values ranging from $2000 to $4000, you can click on ‘Add more’ and add another rule. The same is depicted in the screenshot below.
7. If you want to apply cart-based discounts based on product quantity in the cart, you can select Cart quantity in the ‘Applies to’ section, and follow the same steps as we did on Cart total.
8. Now, click on the ‘Save volume discount’ button to save your discounts and your cart-based discount will be live.
9. On the cart page, you can see the volume discount based on the quantity displayed with relevant messages.
10. In case if you want to change the default cart messages corresponding to VD Cart/Quantity, you can do it from here: WSH Wholesale Pricing > Settings > Volume Discount
If your theme is not integrated, sometimes the above features won't work on your store. Please go ahead and integrate if you haven't already.
