Sometimes our team needs access to Shopify Admin → Markets → Catalogs to review your setup. For that, you need to enable specific role permissions. Shopify often doesn’t show a “Markets” toggle directly.
Who can do this?
A Store owner (or a staff member with permission to manage users/permissions) must enable the permissions below.
Why “Markets” doesn’t appear in permissions
Shopify’s Markets UI access is controlled by a combination of permissions, so you won’t always see a single “Markets” checkbox. If even one required permission is missing, Markets/Catalogs may not show.
Step-by-step (Staff access)
Option A: Give a staff member access to Markets → Catalogs
Go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Users
Create a User/give us staff access (if you haven't already); Check this article to learn how to do it: How to provide staff access to the Wholesale Helper team for Wholesale Pricing Discount B2B (WPD)?
OR if you have already given us staff access, then go to Users, select our account. If it's a staff account, it would be under the email "themes@wholesalehelper.io".You can then edit the same role or add a new role with the updated permissions and assign to the user. Click Roles (or Edit permissions, depending on your UI) and search for the role you want to edit/add these permissions for. Click on the name of the role you added (here ex: Wholesale Helper 3)
Enable all the following permissions:
- Home
- Orders: All permissions
- Products: All permissions
- Analytics: All permissions
- Discounts: All permissions
- Catalogs: Create and edit
- Store settings: Manage settings
- Shipping and delivery
- Taxes and duties
- Domains
Click on the Save button to save your new permissions.
✅ Staff member should now be able to open Markets → Catalogs.
Tip: If you manage access via Roles, create a role like “Markets & Catalogs access” with the permissions above and assign it to staff who need it.
Step-by-step (Collaborator access)
Option B: Give Wholesale Helper collaborator access to Markets → Catalogs
Important: You may need to accept our collaborator request first, then edit permissions.
Go to Settings → Users → Requests/Pending
Accept the Wholesale Helper collaborator request (if Pending). It would be under the email "seth@wholesalehelper.io"
Now, open our collaborator account to edit permissions.
Enable the same permissions list (above)
Save
✅ We’ll then be able to access Markets → Catalogs.
Troubleshooting
I still don’t see Markets → Catalogs
- Double-check that every permission above is enabled (missing even one can hide Markets)
- If you just changed permissions, refresh Shopify Admin or re-login
- If you’re using Roles, ensure the role is actually assigned to the user/collaborator
