This article explains how Wholesale Helper handles your store's data, where it is processed, and how we work with third-party infrastructure providers. If your team is running a security or privacy review, this should cover the most common questions.
What data does Wholesale Helper access?
Wholesale Helper accesses only the data needed to apply wholesale pricing rules and run the app's core features. This includes information such as customer tags and order details, accessed through the official Shopify API. We do not request or process payment card data.
Do you store any data outside of Shopify?
Yes. To deliver core functionality, Wholesale Helper stores a limited set of order and customer transactional fields outside of Shopify, such as order IDs, product variants, and associated customer contact details. This data is used strictly for core app functionality, volume verification, and troubleshooting. We do not store payment data on our servers.
How long do you keep my data?
We retain the data we store for as long as your store has the app installed. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support, and we handle these requests in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Is my data encrypted?
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS, and we follow industry-standard security practices to protect the data we process.
Where is my data stored and processed?
Your data is processed and stored on reputable third-party cloud infrastructure. For details on where your data is stored, please see our Privacy Policy.
Do you sell or share my data?
No. We do not sell or share merchant or customer data with third parties. The third-party providers we rely on (described below) act only as infrastructure to operate the app and are contractually required to handle data securely.
Who are your subprocessors?
Wholesale Helper relies on a small number of trusted third-party providers for hosting, content delivery, and customer support. These providers are based primarily in the United States and European Union and are contractually required to handle data securely and in line with applicable privacy regulations. All third-party infrastructure we use is aligned with Shopify's partner data protection guidelines.
