Mix and Match Volume Discounts let you apply a single set of volume discount tiers across a group of products, so customers can mix quantities between those products to unlock discounts. Instead of a customer needing to buy 10 of the same product to reach a tier, they can combine quantities across the grouped products, effectively enabling bundle-style pricing within Wholesale Pricing Discount B2B (WPD).
This builds on the standard Volume Discount feature, which offers tier-based pricing to customers who buy in bulk. The difference: standard volume discounts count quantities per product, while Mix and Match counts quantities across the whole group.
Note: Like all volume discounts in WPD, a Mix and Match Volume Discount is always associated with a Discount Group.
How it works
- When creating or editing a discount group, a new Products Mix and Match option is available alongside the existing Products and Variants selectors.
- You select the products to group together and add the shared volume discount tiers.
- The volume discount table appears on each product page for tagged wholesale customers.
- Discounts apply automatically in the cart as quantities accumulate across the grouped products.
How to set up a Mix and Match Volume Discount
- Go to Volume Discounts in the left sidebar menu. You'll see all your Discount Groups listed there.
- Click on the Discount Group you want to set the volume discount for.
- On the Edit Volume Discount page, choose the discount type — Fixed Price, Price Off, or Percentage Off.
- Select the Products Mix and Match option (shown alongside the existing Products and Variants selectors).

Click Select products and choose the products you want to group together.
- Add the shared volume discount tiers that will apply across the whole group.
- Click Save.
Once saved, the volume discount table will display on each grouped product's page for tagged wholesale customers, and discounts will be applied automatically in the cart as quantities add up across the group.
Example
Let's say you group Product A, Product B, and Product C into a Mix and Match Volume Discount with these tiers:
- Buy 10+ (mixed) → 10% off
- Buy 20+ (mixed) → 20% off
- Buy 30+ (mixed) → 30% off
A customer adds 4 of Product A, 3 of Product B, and 3 of Product C to their cart — 10 units in total. Because the quantities are counted across the group, the customer unlocks the 10% off tier on all three products, even though they didn't buy 10 of any single one.
As they add more units across any of the grouped products, they'll move into the next tiers automatically.
Key notes
- This feature is supported for both standard and Liquid integrations.
- The maximum number of tiers within a single volume discount configuration has increased from 5 to 10. This applies to volume discount configurations across the board, giving you more flexibility to create finer-grained pricing breaks.
- The volume discount table is visible to tagged wholesale customers on each product page.
